I found it!!

I've found the group of songs I've been searching for!


When I was in Univ. Chorale with the wonderful Steve Durtschi we sang the first song in this 5 song cycle. Which is the first song you'll hear on the recording. I love love love this song. I love the interplay between the SAT in the middle, and how the Bass carries this tune with a strong undertone. I love how each line swells in the middle, I feel as if the music wraps around me. Which I know is really corny, but I love it!


The name of the song we sang is "En Une Seule Fleur" meaning In Only One Flower. 

I would love the opportunity to see this set sung again someday. What beautiful music!

I've been searching lately for a song we sung in Univ. Chorale a few years ago. I haven't been able to find it and I'm quite sad about it. But, while searching I ran across one of my other favorite songs. I just LOVE Andrea Bocelli's voice!

Where has the Semester gone?

4 finals down and two to go!


This past semester was so hard school-wise. But, I got through it and for that I'm so happy! I think the biggest thing I've learned is that I can do hard things. I also learned that attitude makes all the difference in the world. If you have a bad attitude, no matter how hard life is, it's gonna suck! But, if you have a good attitude then it's easy to laugh and have fun on the way. 


Anyways, 2 more finals and then it's on to bigger and better things! I cannot wait for the next month to unfold =D

Today was one of those days. One of those perfect Sundays where I feel the Lord's love wrap around me. Today I was in Sunday School and Sister Farr shared one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. You can find it here, it's called The Mediator. 
What an amazing, true video about some of the doctrine of the Atonement. Today I realized just how much we really do need the Savior. We are in debt! And there is no possible way for us to repay that debt without Him. We totally, completely need to rely on the Savior. And he has given everything to us, not for honor or glory or praise. Simply because he loves us. Just let that sink in for a second. He has repaid our debt out of love. Pure and perfect love. Oh how grateful I am for Him.

I am in debt. I am at His mercy. He lives. And through Him, I all my debts are paid and I am saved.

I PASSED THE PRAXIS!!

Imagine yourself in a room.....for two hours....with nothing but a test and old-style pencil (that's right, not even a mechanical one.) 

You begin the test and tediously bubble in every bubble perfectly and read through each question 10 times. You're done and look up at the clock.....and it's only been 45 minutes!!!!!

Yup! That's how the Praxis was in a nutshell!

So for those non-teaching majors out there, the Praxis is like the MCAT for teaching majors. You have to pass it, or you cannot get your license. Yeah, it's kinda a big deal.

But, I totally passed!!

Being the amazing hubby he is, Chris took me out to Chili's last night to celebrate and we topped it off with a delicious shake. He's so great, and I felt so special. *sigh* 

Now I just have to focus for another 2 weeks and then it's on to exciting new adventures!!
